Q)  I want to add funds to my HWIN prepaid account using my credit card. What are the steps I should follow?
A)  The HWIN system does not store credit card information. However, you may access your generator registration at any time at www.hwin.ca and add funds to your registration’s pre-paid account to cover manifest and tonnage fee charges. To do this, log in with your user name and password, locate the “Administration” drop-down menu at the top of the page and select “Add to Pre-paid.” Then complete the required fields and submit the amount you wish to deposit.

You may also add funds to your generator registration’s pre-paid account by mailing a cheque payable to the Minister of Finance for the amount you wish to deposit. Please quote the generator registration number with the cheque. Our mailing address is:

If you have sufficient funds in your registration’s pre-paid account, manifest and tonnage fees will automatically be deducted once the information is up-loaded into your generator registration. Receipts for these payments will be sent to the main contact person's e-mail address.
