Q) Do I have to sign a certification statement when I apply my electronic signature to a manifest?
|
A) Yes. As part of the signature ceremony, HWIN will require the acceptance of certification statements by the parties to the signature ceremony. For example, a generator will have to accept the following certification statement in order to apply an electronic signature in HWIN at the time of carrier pickup of a waste shipment.
"I certify that I have reviewed the information on this manifest form and I confirm that it is true and correct and accurately describes my waste shipment. I confirm that custody of the waste shipment has been transferred to the carrier named in Part A of the manifest form."
